Heena or Mehandi is a natural product and used for many centuries in many Asian countries for colouring hair. In recent years, heena has been popularised as a conditioner too. It is a very good conditioner for falling hair, split ends and rough hair. Its advantages can be doubled, if added with other hair strengthening products like- eggs white, shikakai, ritha etc.
Sikha- 18 years old was very much tensed all the time before due to her lumpy and split ends. But now she is happy as she is using an organic way to insulate her hair from external environment and all the credits goes to Heena. Undoubtedly, like Sikha, there a lot of men and women who are often suffering from hair issues and I bet the best thing here is Heena.
Few essential points that I want to highlight in regards with Heena- a natural hair grooming agent. Here they are:
Heena as colouring agent
To colour your grey hair or even to give a tinge to your black hair naturally you can use heena. Soak it overnight with shikakai powder, amla powder, egg white and a few drops of lemon. Next day in the morning apply it all over your hair and leave it for 2-3 hours, cover your scalp with a shower cap to keep it moist. After few hours, wash your hair with any herbal shampoo and water.
Heena as a conditioner
To use it as a conditioner also you can use it with the same ingredients or can add hibiscus flower powder and orange peel powder. Keep it on your hair for half an hour and wash it with your regular shampoo.
Heena oil
You can make your own heena oil also at home by boiling oil and heena powder together. Let it cool off and then store it in an airtight bottle and use it at least two or three times in a week. You can even buy it readymade also from the shop. It is very effective for falling hair.
Dandruff treatment
Heena is useful in dandruff problems too. To put it on your hair mix heena powder with fenugreek seed powder, curd and few drops of lemon juice. Mix them all and apply it on your scalp before washing your hair.
Above all, heena has its cooling effect too, and it is useful in summer season to cool your head and you also. You can even put it on your palm and feet to cool yourself. That helps in your overall health and that also effect on your hair health.
Word of warning
Don’t use heena, if your hair is extremely dry and if you get allergy or itchiness on your scalp. It is advisable to eat healthy and nutritious food to get healthy and shiny hair.
Ironically speaking, Heena is the best thing which can cure your any hair related issues as well as provide you a lustrous hair. Don’t go with my words just try it by yourself and surely you’ll end up your day with WOW!
Waiting for your feedbacks 🙂
